Another weekend - another Just Us Girls Challenge.
This time I used one of my favourite images from Stamping Bella: Partygirlbella. I tried a new technique which I always admire - the way you girls color the backround. I am not a 100% happy with the result. I need more practice. But the way seems to be right. Sponging the backroud with ink.
As usual Bella is colored with copics and embellished with stickles. The littel hearts around the scallops are usually used to decorate finger nails. But as they are so tiny they just work perfect as stamping embellishment.
Cardstock is from SU; the designer paper is "Pretty please" from My mind's eye.
Sorry gils I forgot the thrid circle. I printed the template in black and white and it was not visble. Hope it counts nevertheless!
Thanks for looking!

We will forgive you for forgetting the 3rd circle! LOL!! Very cute card! Some hints about adding color to the background: I use a soft brush instead of a sponge to get the soft color. Ink up your brush (sort of like a stipple brush, but with soft bristles) and swirl the color off the image and work your way in. This way you don't get too much color where you don't want it! Hope this helps and thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
*giggle* I never thought of the ramifications of printing in B&W! lol. I think it looks great sans 3rd circle. I ♥ that Bella image too -- well put together!
thanks so much for taking the time to play along with Just Us Girls!!!
That's the fun of sketches you can alter them however you like! So the 3rd circle is not missed :) Love the bella - she's colored so perfectly! Great job!
Love the party girl and I think your coloring is great!
The background looks good! Great coloring as well. Great job with the JUGS challenge.
It's a good life!
