Just Us Girls Challenge No. 8

This is my this week's entry for the Just Us Girls Challenge No. 8. I needed a nice wrapping tea lights with a delicious vanilla fragrance. As the lights do already have a gingerbread man on top I repeated this in the complete design of the card.

The blue is definitely not the right color as pre-set in the challenge but this type of blue as cardstock is very difficult to get in Germany. The only blue I can think of is from SU - and unfortunately I run out of it.

So this is my result.

I embossed parts of the card with the polka dots folder of the cuttlebug. The image is from Pink Cat Studio. The gingerbread stamps are from a discount supermarket. But they do not look "cheap" at all!

Thanks for looking!

Christmas Leparello

Update:

I created this card last year - but when I saw the challgene I was just of the opinion - yes that's it!

I have seen this type of card in a maganzine and created my own Christmas Leparello using Itty Bitty Christmas Digi Stamps from Pink Cat Studio.

This is the front page of the card:

The internal view of the card:

I used a lot of glitter, rhinestones, rhinestone stars, snwoflakes, liquide pearls, etc. to decorate the christmas trees.

Booklets for post-its!

Some time ago I saw this type of booklets somewhere in the internet and was thrilled about the idea to have on in the handbag as I am a person who never has a piece of paper at hand when needed.

So I made two. One for my mum and one for me in the matching colors of my favourite handbag.

Originally the designer paper is only black and white. So I could adjust it to the colors I wanted. I also used a lot of glitter to receive an elegant look.

Birthday card set

This week is my mom's birthday. I wanted to make hers some personal gifts as top ups. So I created a set with birthday cards which she can send to friends.

I used the colors brown, pink and white. The stamps are "Simply Said" from SU. I made the designer paper myself stamping pale pink and brown flowers on white cardstock. To give the whole thing an elegant look I used a lot of glitter.

I can't wait to see what she is thinking about.

Just Us Girls Week 7

Today it is time for some posts. I have been creative the last couple of days.

This week's taks for the Just Us Girls Challenge was to use the Cuttlebug or similar. I created some gift tags using my Cuttlebug with nestabilities and digi stamps from Pink Cat Studio.

Here they are:

Mojo Monday 112

Today I created another card using this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The part with the ribbon inspired me to create an envelope where I hid the setiments - happy birthday.

The stamps I used are all from SU - mostly from the "Simply Said" and "Happy hearts" set. As the designer paper was glittery I used stickles to continue with the glitter.

This is the card with the setiment hidden.

And now the message pulled out!

Just Us Girls No. 6 - Part 3

And last but not least - me entry for the challenge. I was so much inspired by the color scheme of my boys so adopted it.

The backround of the card is embossed. For this reason I created my own embossing plate for my cuttlebug using cardstock and snwoflake punches. You can hardly see it on the photo but the snowflakes are colored with chalk and aditional smaller snowflakes are sticked on top using dimensionals.

The image is "Christmasmartini" from Stamping Bella. The paper is a free download print-out from the UK "Papercrafts inspiration" Magazine.

Thanks for stopping by!

And this is Philipp's result:

I believe Philipp would be thrilled to receive one or the other comment!

Just Us Girls Challenge No. 6 - Part 1

Today I started a big experiment. My twin boy (9 years old) are very fond of my "Bellas" how they call my stamping passion. As they needed a reward I promised that they could use all my stamping stuff to create a card.
To give them guideline I used the Just Us Girls Challenge as a template.

This is the result of Constantin:

I am so proud of the respectable result that I promised to publish the cards on my blog in the internet and to link them to the Just Us Girls Challenge. Each with a own comment section!

So if you leave a comment for them they would certainly be over the moon!

Just Us Girls Challenge No. 4

When I watched Monas video yesterday about how to make flowers I was hooked. I am not quite sure whether tissue paper is the same what I would call "Seidenpapier" in Germany but anyway it worked. These flowers are the perfect decoration for a flowerpot card.

The flowers are cut out with my cuttlebug using various circles. The centre is made of a tiny button. The flowerpot itself is embossed and shaded with white ink. The leaves are prefabricated veil leafes in varius sizes and colours.

So this is my entry for the fourth Just Us Girls Challenge:

But now see the result:

Just us Girls Challenge!

This colour challenge came just at the right time. I was desperately seaching for a colour scheme for my receipe card swap. And then I saw the colours red, white and aqua. And there was the idea! Thank you girls for this inspiration.

This is what I made out of it!

Supplies:
  • Circle Punch - Stampin' up
  • Branch Punch - Martha Stewart
  • 2 snwoflake Punches - manufacturer unknown
  • Coloured cardstock - SU
  • Shimmering paper
  • Thread
  • Pearls
  • Rhinestones

What you can't really see from the picture the receipe is written in red colour! It just looks perfect!
Thanks for looking!

Just for those interested in the receipe. Here it is in full:

Vanilla Almond Kipferl

For the dough:
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
3 egg yolks
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar (or equivalent of vanilla flavor)
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of finely ground almonds
1 cup of (soft) butter or margarine

Additionally:
Powdered sugar for dredging
Plastic wrap
Baking paper:

Preparation:
Produce a homogenous dough (either by hand or with help of dough hooks) of all the dough ingredients. Wrap the dough into plastic wrap and put into the fridge (at least one hour).

Take the dough out and knead it quickly. Then form rolls approx. 2 1/2 inches long with a diameter of approx. 1/2 inch. Place them in a crescent shape on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Leave enough space between the individual cresents because they tend to expand during the baking process.

Bake the crescents in the pre-heated oven at approx. 350° F for 15 to 18 minutes. Please observe them carefully gey get burnt very easily!

Dredge them with powderes sugar when still warm!

Store them in a tin or plastic box and enjoy!

Bella o Bella!

I created this box as a present. It contained sweets and a gift card for some personal shopping wishes!

Mojo Monday!

This week I had some time to participate at the Mojo Monday Contest!

The Template:
And my implementation:

The christmas ornament in the centre is hanging and can be turned and twisted and is fixed with a decorative thread. The necessary hole was cut out with the cuttlebug.

The paper is a free download from the UK Magazine Paper Craft Inspiration embellised with pearls and stickles.

Other supplies: breads, ribbon, rhinestone, stickles, pearl maker.

Another Itty Bitty Betty Box!

I sold all my three boxes which I published during the last month! So I had to make a new one!

I used the digi stamps from Pink Cat Studio - Itty Bitty Betty - Ladybug! The shapes and circles are produced with nestabilities and the cuttlebug.
Itty Bitty Betty is coloured with copics and decorated with stickles, pearl maker and butterflies from the Martha Steward Butterfly Punch.
I also used paper flowers and rhinestones as well a white organza ribbon with a heart edge and an orange pepita ribbon! Some of the butterflies and flowers are decorated with stickles to give the whole a shimmering touch!

Digi Stamps from Pink Cat Studio!

Design of a round paper box. The image I used is Itty Bitty Betty Ladybug!
The designer paper is a free download from the UK magazine http://www.papercraftinspirationsmagazine.co.uk/page/papercraft/20090727.

I thought is was very suitable - ladybugs. The circles are cut with netabilities. As I wanted to integrate the colour silver I used aluminim foil normally used in the kitchen - it worked! The flowers and Itty Bitty is decorated with stickels and liquid pearls. I also used a red and a silver ribbon and a wooden ladybug!

On this picture you can see the things I used!
Hope you like it!

My second try is a christmas card with Itty Bitty Betty - candy can slide. I cut out a hole in front page of the card. I filled the hole with a foil envelope filled with white embossing powder to give the whole the impression of snow - somilar to shaker cards. So when you shake the card you have the impression that snow is falling down.
I also punched out various snowflakes embelissed with rhinestones. Last but not least a white and green pepita ribbon and "warm wishes" sentiments (from SU). The second picture gives more detail from the image. By the way Itty Bitty is coloured with copics.

And last but not least two boxes!

I had the idea to decorate pre-fabricated paper boxes in a christmas/winter style. I used various sizes of nestabilities and the image "Group Hug" from Stamping Bella! I punched different snwoflakes, some are embossed with white embossing powder others aren't. The snowmen are coloured with copics and decorated with stickles. For the snowflakes I used rhinestones or liquid pearls.

Another christmas card!

I was hooked with the stamp - a tree for all seasons - by Stampin up! I punched a whole in the card and placed the image on white cardstock behind. As I purchased two different snowflake punches at the weekend I had to use them. What you can't really see is the paper of the snowflakes. Shimmering in various rainbow colours!
The get the tree a wintery look I filled a foil pocket with embossing powder to give the whole the look of a shaker card. So when you shake it you get the impression of having snow!

Stampin up!

I did not purely use Stampin up material! The snowflakes are embossed and decorated with rhinestones! The large snowflake is covered with a foil which is filled with glitter to add a certain glitter!

Christmas during sunshine!

A couple of weeks ago, I did a stamping up workshop!

This are the results! Four different cards with different techniques.

Today I altered one card.

A creative day today!

Although we have a warm summer day today I felt like producing my first christmas card for this year! I used the nestabilities I bought on saturday for the image. The image is "group hug" from Stamping Bella. The snowmen are coloured with copics and the paper are free downloads from the UK magazine "Papercraft inspiration" printed on a high quality glossy photo paper. Although I only have a very old ink printer the result is brilliant.

Actually I am quite proud of the result this time!
Probably I go on mass production of this one...

Hope, you like my card, too.

My Timess Challenge

It's a long time ago that I updated my blog. Holidays kept me busy. Now everything is back to normal and I have time to produce some cards. So I participated at one of my favourite challenges of http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/
This is the template:

And this is my result:

I used the image Lily&Billy Sweethearts Stamps from Pink Cat Studio. The frame is made of Angelina fibres a material which I sometimes use to embellish artistic quilts. So I tried to "iron" a frame betweet two sheets of baking paper. The result is always a big surprise. You do not know exactly how it will look like. I made some "adjustments" with my scissors. I deliberately did not use any designer paper to leave the emphasis on the frame. What you can't see from the picture is the virtue colour of the frame. It is shimmering in various rainbow colours. The dots are liquird pearls. There is no other embellishment used.

This is the birthday card I created for my husband. Grillafella is doing what my husband loves in summer - barbecueing! I used his favourite colours - normally he is wearing a red polo shirt and blue trousers.

It is not very easy to create a "male" card. Even a ribbon can look female. So I used bast as a ribbon.
